Day 53 - A Vomp Carrot Diet

He started up his package delivery route today, bringing in another 200g. Unfortunately, he's burned through his excess energy and has calmed down a little. He raced against Fast twice more today, winning both times. After his races, we went on a short, uneventful walk. I watched over him twice before dinner. He was out of Azouph Greens so he ate three Vomp Carrots.

Day 52 - Gold-Medal Racer

He had another day of basic care, and regained his zest for life. He raced against Fast three times today and won all three! I then watched over him four times. He ate two Vomp Carrots and a bunch of Azouph Greens.

I've planted a bunch of crops with hopes of Zegham Carrots in the future.

Day 51 - Boring Days

Today was basic care, though once again, he got bored with it. He raced against Fast three times today, and won the first two but lost the third. That's just the way it goes. We then took an uneventful short walk, before I watched over him four times. He ate two Vomp Carrots and a bunch of Azouph Greens for dinner.

Day 50 - A Wonderful Day

Finally at that landmark Day 50! He ran more package deliveries today, and all went well. The 200g brings the Chocobo Fund up to 88,303g. He's gotten over his love-sickness and appears to be feeling better, and remains full of energy! His Endurance also rose to Outstanding! He raced against Fast twice and won both times. Wahboud may think a great deal of his bird, but it's my NobleCrimson that will make me a mint in the races... Especially once I start work on his mental attributes as well. I may have wanted red, but this is going to turn out to be my Golden Chocobo!

We went on two short walks, meeting Zopago and Chaos on the first. The second time, he found an ear of millioncorn for me. I watched over him twice before dinner. For dinner, he ate two Vomp Carrots and a bunch of Azouph Greens. It's very important that I feed him in that order, or else he'll fill up on greens before he can eat both carrots. He went from wanting to be with me all the time, to regarding me as a parent again.

Day 49 - First-Class Delivery Chocobo

Clients received their packages today in a timely manner, and the Chocobo Fund is up to 88,103g. He's full of energy today, so it's time for some rigorous training! Too bad he's still lovesick. His strength has risen to First-Class! His endurance is still Impressive. He won a race against Fast, and then we decided to go walking. Our long walk was uneventful, and so was the short walk. I then watched over him twice for dinner. For his meal, he ate two bunches of Azouph Greens. He went from liking me a lot, to regarding me as his parent.

Days 45-48 - Head In The Clouds

My illness kept me away from my chocobo for several days.

Day 45 - Another day of basic care, and he regained his zest for life. Unfortunately, he also became spoiled rotten.

Days 46-47 - He delivered packages in town in a timely fashion, and I was paid 400g. He also got injured at work... Though he did become more responsive to commands again.

Day 48 - More package delivery, and another 200g. His injury healed on its own, but now his head is in the clouds and he's lovesick again!

He won a race against Fast, then lost won. I suppose that's just the way it goes. We then took a short walk, and we ran into Zopago and Chaos. I watched over him twice before feeding him two bunches of Azouph Greens. He went from liking me a lot, to wanting to be with me all the time.

Between the 600g income from deliveries and the 1000g for the Quadav Backplate he found me the other day, the Chocobo Fund is back up to 87,903g.

Day 43-44 - The Springtime of Youth

Day 43 - A normal day of package delivery. Zopago informed me that now is the best time to improve his attributes. NobleCrimson is beginning to develop quite a distinguished air.

Day 44 - A day of basic care to recover a little. Unfortunately, he quickly became bored.

In incredible news, his Strength has risen to Outstanding and his endurance to Impressive! Before long, I'll be able to begin training on his mental faculties. He raced twice today and Fast won the first time... I really have no idea what happened. However, Crimson made his comeback on the second race. We then took a short walk, and he found me a Quadav Backplate! What a nice find! I watched over him five times. For dinner, he ate two Vomp Carrots and a bunch of Azouph Greens. He went from wanting to be with me all the time, to regarding me as a parent.

The 200g from deliveries, plus 2000g made from selling a Quadav Backplate and Goblin Mask he found, brings the Chocobo Fund up to 86,303k.

Days 41-42 - Outstanding!

I've been sick so I wound up missing a day. NobleCrimson spent his two days running package deliveries, and payment came in the form of 400g, bringing the fund up to 84,103k. He raced against Fast and won. On our first short walk, he found a Flint Stone for me. It's not much but it was very sweet of him. The second walk was uneventful. I watched over him twice today. For dinner he ate two bunches of Azouph Greens. He went from liking me a lot to regarding me as a parent again.

Day 40 - Back To Work

He resumed work with package deliveries in town today, and the 200g brings the Chocobo Fund up to 83,703k. He won two races against Fast, before we took a short walk. On our walk, he found me a Quadav Backplate! I watched over him before feeding him dinner. His new diet of two Vomp Carrots and a bunch of Azouph Greens is working out nicely... Even after working, he still regards me as a parent. Between his 200g a day income and the sale of the items he brings me often, he's more than paying off the purchase of the Azouph Greens... Not to mention the Vomp Carrot supply will last longer!

Day 39 - Rest

Today was a day of basic care to take a break from the stressful deliveries. We took a long walk and met Brutus, and NobleCrimson became friends with Fantastic. After that we took an uneventful short walk, and I watched over him seven times. He went from liking me a lot, to wanting to be with me all the time. For dinner, I bought a stack of Azouph Greens for 2.9k, bringing the Chocobo Fund down to 83,503k. He ate two Vomp Carrots and a bunch of Azouph Greens, and he regards me as a parent again.

Day 38 - Impressive Progress

More package deliveries! Another 200g in the bank. The Silver Beastcoin he brought me the other day also sold for 1k, bringing the Chocobo Fund up to 86,403. His affection went back to "liking me a lot" again, but his strength has risen to Impressive! I'm really very happy with his progress. He's also over his boredom. I took him on a long walk, then a short walk. On his short walk, he found a Goblin Mask for me! I watched over him three times before feeding him three Vomp Carrots for dinner. He wants to be with me all the time again.

Day 37 - A Change of Plans

Another day of successful package deliveries, another 200g, bringing the Chocobo Fund up to 85,203. His affection has remained dipped to "liking me a lot" again, but his endurance has risen to better than average! Unfortunately he's also become bored and restless. I've decided to take him off of message deliveries for a while and keep him on package deliveries in town. First off today, he raced against Fast and won. We then went on two short walks. On the first walk he found a clump of Tokopekko Wildgrass, and on the second we met Zopago and Chaos. I watched over him three times before feeding him three Vomp Carrots for dinner. He wants to be with me all the time now.

Day 36 - A Relaxing Day

Today was a day back on the package delivery route. The customers got their packages on time, and the 200g pay brought the Chocobo Fund up to 85,003. However, he now only "likes me a lot"... So for starters we went on a long walk today, then a short one. On the short walk, we met Zopago and Chaos. I them watched over him three times and fed him three Vomp Carrots. He wants to be with me all the time now.

Day 35 - A Stronger Heart

More message delivery, another 400g, the Chocobo Fund up to 84,803. Also, NobleCrimson is over his lovesickness. His strength has risen to Better Than Average! However, since I didn't get to watch over him yesterday, he now wants to be with me all the time but no longer regards me as a parent.

First off today, he raced Fast and won. After his race, we went on a regular, and uneventful walk to the Konschtat Highlands. I then watched over him twice, and he was happy to see me. He still doesn't regard me as a parent, but hopefully soon he will... I've taken him off his message delivery route for a few days. As usual, he ate three Vomp Carrots for dinner.

Day 34 - Lackadaisical

More postal delivery for 400g, bringing the Chocobo Fund up to 84,403. He remains lovesick, and sadly, he's now burned through his excess energy. He raced Fast and won, then we went on a long walk. Maybe it's his lovesickness, or maybe the stressful delivery schedule, but this completely exhausted him. I fed him three Vomp Carrots for dinner.

Day 33 - Lovesickness

Another day of postal delivery for 400g, bringing the Chocobo Fund up to 84,003. He regained his zest for life, but has now become lovesick. He raced Fast and won, then we went on a long walk, where we ran into Pulonono and Melody. He ate three Vomp Carrots for dinner.

Day 32 - Chocobos Gone Postal

Noble Crimson was sent to deliver official messages for Bastok. Thanks to him, Bastok was able to smoothly exchange information with the other nations of Vana'diel. As a measure of compensation, Bastok awarded me 400g, bringing the Chocobo Fund up to 83,603. Somehow even with that work, he still became bored and restless. He raced Fast and won, then we went on a regular walk. On our walk, he found a silver beastcoin for me. I watched over him seven times before dinner. He ate three Vomp Carrots. Even after the stressful day of work, he still regards me as a parent.

Day 31 - Last Day of Rest

One last day of basic care before he returns to work. He's regained his zest for life, and wants to be with me all the time. We went on a long walk to Pashow Marshlands and met Pulonono from Windurst, with her chocobo Melody. The two made friends right away. He then raced Fast twice and won both times. I watched over him five times before feeding him three Vomp Carrots for dinner. Tomorrow he starts message delivery to other nations.

Days 26-30 - Finally Home

I finally returned from my trip.

Day 26-29 - These days were uneventful days of basic care. At long last, at the end my Noble Crimson grew up into an adult Chocobo. He has very sturdy legs and fine plumage.

Day 30 - More basic care, but he became bored and restless.

He was starving but still wants to be with me all the time. He's bored, but remains full of energy. For the first order of the day, he raced against Fast and won. We then went on a long, uneventful walk to the Pashow Marshlands. He raced again, and won again. He ate three Vomp Carrots for dinner, and he looks at me as a parent again. I then watched over him four times.

I was so worried about how he'd be when I returned, but I'm glad he wasn't sick or injured! Also, I made 8k off of chocobo paste sales, bringing the Chocobo Fund up to 83,203.

Day 25 - The Miserable Vacation

Unfortunately, this will be my last opportunity to check on NobleCrimson until Day 30. This means he'll be an adult by the time I return. I'm not looking forward to having to leave him for so long. I fed all my crops so I'm hoping they can hold out that long, though I'm doubting they will.

He earned 200g for a package delivery route well served, but I also had to spend 1700g on earth crystals to feed the crops today, meaning the Chocobo Fund is now 75,203. He regained his zest for life today and remains full of energy. His Strength and Endurance are both Average but he only wants to be with me all the time, no longer regarding me as a parent. He won his one race today before we took a regular walk and then a short walk. The regular walk was uneventful, but we met Zopago on the short walk and he seemed to get along well with Chaos. I watched over him seven times, and he was in high spirits. For dinner, he ate three Vomp Carrots. He regards me as a parent again.

I'm going to miss him til I get back.

Days 23-24 - A Hectic Life

I was hoping to keep my absences from Chocobo-care to a minimum. But here, just days before I know I'm going to have to leave town, I wind up missing a day of care due to a busy day.

Day 23 - While I was away, he carried packages as usual. He did a good job and clients got their packages in a timely manner, so I was paid 200g. He burned through his excess mental energy and calmed down a little.

Day 24 - Another day of package delivery performed well. The 400g I earned over these two days brings the Chocobo Fund up to 63,903g. Add to that the three Carrot Pastes I sold, and it brings the fund up to a wonderful 76,903! Due to the neglect yesterday apparently, he's become bored and restless. However, his endurance has risen to Average! He wants to be with me all the time, no longer looking at me as a parent.

For the first order of the day, we raced against Fast, and Noble Crimson won of course. I then took him on a regular walk to the Konschtat Highlands. While we were out, we met Hantileon from San d'Oria and his Chocobo, Ice. The two became friends right away. We then took a short walk into South Gustaberg, which was uneventful. After that, I watched over him five times. He looked irritated, but at least he regards me as his parent again. Even if he isn't as mentally focused, he remains full of energy. For dinner, he ate three Vomp Carrots.

I set his schedule up for basic care. So after tomorrow's package delivery run, he'll be on a basic stable routine until I return from my trip. I'm not looking forward to leaving him for a few days, but it's not something I have a choice about. I also hope my crops don't all die before I return.
